Spring is in the air so smoothies are back again on the menu. I hardly ever make them when it is chilly so I’m back to it now that temps are mounting. I built this Blueberry Pie Smoothie back again in 2014 and assumed it deserved a little bit of a refresh – and a lot of methods to make it your very own.
BlueBerry Pie Smoothie
Elements: (serves 2)
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup toddler spinach (mine was frozen)
3/4 cup yogurt
1/2-1 banana
2/3 cup milk
2 graham crackers – lacking from the image! (or see below for swaps!)
Instructions:
Add substances to a blender – if you foresee it getting additional chunks than you’d like, 1st mix the greens, milk, yogurt and add in the blueberries, banana, and graham crackers just after.
Pour in a splash of water if much too thick!
Delight in!
The graham cracker in there was a new 1 for me. I enjoy how much it altered the smoothie to absolutely feel like pie. At any time blueberries are heading in, so do some greens. They are undetectable and make it just a richer purple!
No spinach? Incorporate any greens you like. Or frozen cauliflower for additional fiber and thickness.
No graham crackers? Swap for nuts or wheat germ, oats, or some cereal.
Often incorporate any ground flax seed, protein powder, or whatsoever you like.
No banana? Swap for avocado or pear, or skip!
Our absolute go-to a person is this peanut butter & jelly inspired smoothie with blueberries, pb/pb protein powder, or I adore this chocolate cherry smoothie.
